I am an artist and maker based in Argyll, on the West Coast of Scotland.

My artwork is often influenced by the sea and by those who work on, and by, it. Creating predominantly in wood, copper, mixed media and paint, my semi-abstract style attempts to explore the tenuous links between history, memory and endeavour.

A location, a phrase, a line from a poem, can be the starting point.

I try to avoid repetition in my work and am always ready to explore new ways of creating.

In certain pieces I may combine traditional methods and skills with digital technologies.
